VOI’s Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel discuss circumcision, dying with dignity, German attitudes towards Israel and ‘alternate peace’ activism.
First, Jeremy talks about the circumcision of his third son, which took place today. He describes the meaningful, at times overwhelming, moments of the ceremony, and what it’s like to bring a child into the world during these formidable times, with a nuclear cloud hovering overhead.
Then, Ari and Jeremy are joined in-studio by Shaare Zedek Medical Center social worker Naomi Sutton Neustadter, who talks about the pamphlet she wrote called ” Advanced Medical Directive” — an English guide for patients in Israel to make choices about their care, prior to becoming incapacitated. She puts it into the context of Torah law, as well.
Then, Ari and Jeremy are joined in-studio by German activist Werner Hartstock, a leading member of “Saxon Friends of Israel” — an organization that seeks to educate Germans about Israel and why they should stand with the Jewish people.
Finally, Ari and Jeremy are joined in-studio by “alternative peace activist” Baruch Widen, who describes his method of battling anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment. He also estimates how many Muslims are Zionists and actually love Israel, and offers his opinion on what God is up to, with everything that’s happening in the world today. listen now
