‘Traditional’ Israelis, collective Jewish guilt, radicals in US Jewish organizations, keeping Zionism modern and Top 5 farewell songs to Abu Mazen.
VOI’s Daniel Seaman and Daniela Traub discuss the religious preference of most secular Israelis, comparing different lifestyles. Then they share their thoughts on Friday’s horrific murder of an Arab baby, completely rejecting the attempt to assign collective responsibility to all Israelis for that and other atrocities.
Then, Daniel and Daniela are joined in-studio by Jeff Daube, director of the Israel office of the Zionist Organization of America, and Richard Allen, founder of JCC Watch.org, to discuss the findings of a recent JPPI study on declining American-Jewish attitudes towards Israel. Daube and Allen claim radical progressive elements, which have infiltrated mainstream Jewish organizations, are affecting relations with the Jewish state.
Then, Daniel and Daniela are joined in-studio by Adi Arbel, project manager for the Institute for Zionist Strategies, on efforts to uphold the Jewish and democratic character of the state of Israel. He explains how the institute is promoting legislation and how its activities with young Israelis advance its ideals.
Finally, Daniel and Daniela present this week’s ‘In the Lions’ Den Top 5′ segment: songs that best express their feelings about Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s announcement that he is stepping down within two months. listen now
