Just one week ago, the annual Jerusalem Hug took place as scheduled, with the goal of creating a human chain to hug the walls of the Old City, including Jews, Muslims and Christians. Organizers secured permits for over 250 Palestinian families, school-aged children and women from Palestinian Areas, but some never made it off the bus due to threats of violence from East Jerusalem Arabs, claiming they were against, the “normalization” of the current situation in Israel.
