Molly Livingstone is joined by Vijeta Uniyal, founder of Indians for Israel, and VOI’s Pratik and Nancy Thakker, new immigrants to Israel from India.
When Vijeta Uniyal moved from his native India to Germany, he was surprised by the rise of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment. Feeling he could not just sit by and observe this phenomenon unfold, he created Indians For Israel, a Facebbok group committed to supporting Jewish people in the media. Vijeta, a political analyst and writer, explains to Molly how the people of India connect with Jews and Israel and the pain of terrorism they both share.
Then, Molly hears from VOI webmaster Pratik Thakker and his wife, Nancy, about what it is like for them to have experienced a shift from Hindu to Israeli culture, a year after their aliyah. listen now
