VOI Knesset Insider Jeremy Saltan joins Yishai Fleisher in-studio to discuss the formation of Israel's Shas political party as part of a long history of Sefardi empowerment. Who are the founders of Shas, and who were Shas' predecessors in the Israeli Black Panthers movement? Saltan and Fleisher discuss restored party chairman Aryeh Deri, former Chairman Eli Yishai, and of course former founding spiritual guide Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, who passed away in 2014.
