An Israeli Soldier's Story of Battling PTSD -- Through Running

13 May 2023

Meet Rami Yulzari, a veteran of the first Lebanon War. As all Israelis, he was inducted into the army immediately after high school. Like many, he suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome as a result.
A country under daily threat since its establishment, Israel has compulsory military service. And while this is taken for granted, the trauma and emotional stress caused by endless war and terrorism that so many Israelis experience is not widely discussed.
Rami joins VOI's Molly Livingstone in-studio to share his personal story of discovering he had PTSD, and how he created his own running group to help others like him survive with the support of "Natal: Israel Trauma Center for Victims of Terror and War."
