MK Aida Sliman of the Arab Unity Faction Heads Knesset Committee for Women and Gender Equality

Knesset Member Aida Touma-Sliman of the (Arab) Unity Party is the first Arab MK to chair the Committee on the Status of Women and Gender Equality. Sliman tells VOI's Eve Harow about her life before politics; feminism; violence against women; her communist ideology and the importance of social justice. She is one of the many voices that have the opportunity to legislate and influence the Jewish State.
