Reactions to Duma and the Iran Deal(50:39)
|
First, Obama made a second speech yesterday about Iran, turning up the rhetoric even more than before. The panel considers whether the president’s anti-Israel bias is solely personal. Panelist Bassem Eid describes the Palestinian reaction to such language and the nuclear agreement as a whole.
Then, a dissection of the elements within Israel that are turning against Prime Minister Netanyahu’s handling of the P5+1 deal. Arab politicians seem insist on being against anything Netanyahu suggests, even if it is in their interest to support his position. President Reuven Rivlin seems to be equally blind to the realities of the nuclear threat.
Next, the panel talks about the Palestinian perception of the strong, unwavering Israeli response to the arson attack in Duma, in which a Palestinian baby was killed.
Finally, the panel discusses the irony of the PA’s appeal to the UN Security Council for protection against “Jewish terror,” and the media’s continued twisting of the undeniable differences in the ideologies and actions of Hamas and Israel.
