Taking Torah to Jerusalemites With Special Needs

Torah trailblazer Sharona Halickman joins VOI's Judy Lash Balint in-studio. As the first madricha ruchanit--female spiritual guide, at an orthodox congregation in New York, Sharona was involved in teaching Judaism to everyone from mothers with infants to elderly shut-ins. Today, Sharona has brought her teaching philosophy to Jerusalem and runs Torat Reva Yerushalayim, a unique program that takes Torah to assisted living facilities and to groups of new parents and people with special needs.
