The Arab Bus Controversy: An ISM Campaign in Disguise?

21 May 2023

Since yesterday, the Defense Ministry first implemented and then suspended a trial transportation campaign involving chartered buses for Arab residents of Judea and Samaria who work in Israel.
VOI's Josh Hasten is joined by investigative journalist Lee Kaplan of Stoptheism.com, who says that the entire drama is actually a well-planned campaign by the ISM (International Solidarity Movement), with the sole purpose of defaming Israel, and causing the world to accuse it of apartheid.

Then, Josh is joined in-studio by VOI's Yishai Fleisher, who talks about the recent spate of rock and fire-bomb attacks throughout Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. He says that Israel needs to learn from the leadership in Egypt on how to crack down on jihad.

Finally, Josh is joined by Rabbi Guy Avihod, head of the Jerusalem-based Haboydem thrift shop, to discuss Shavuot. Why is the holiday that marks the giving of the Torah to the Jewish people called Shavuot, which means "weeks" in Hebrew? Why does this important holiday lack the plethora of symbols characteristic of other Jewish holidays?
