Walking Down the Aisles: On the Scene at the Jerusalem Food Coop

The high cost of living in Israel spurred a group of Hebrew University students to take action. B'Shutaf: Jerusalem Food Coop (the Hebrew name is taken from the children's expression for doing something jointly), was born to bypass high prices at supermarkets, and keep young people from fleeing the city.
VOI's Molly Livingstone spends an evening in the store itself, talking to shoppers and feeling the atmosphere first-hand.
