The Live@5 panel debates the new law allowing for the force-feeding of hunger-striking prisoners.
The panel asks whether this law effectively legalizes a form of torture; if prisoners ought to be allowed to commit suicide; and what it means for international public opinion of Israel. The second piece of legislation passed by the Knesset, the Norwegian Law, is also discussed.
