Colonel Dakar Eilat has served as team-leader and intelligence officer in the undercover unit of Israel's border patrol, then as intelligence officer in the police's national elite hostage rescue team. He established the Masada unit, the hostage-rescue unit of the prison service, and was a commander of Israeli maximum security prisons. Today he is a research fellow at the Counter-Terrorism Institute at the IDC and a security consultant. He joins VOI's Yishai Fleisher in-studio to relive some close calls and to discuss strategies for fighting Jihad.
