Acceleration Stories: How AnyClip and INPRIS Successfully Transitioned from Idea to Product
|
This week's Innovation Nation -- hosted by VOI's Eitan Press (standing in for Simcha Gluck)-- features two stories of Israeli start-up success. First, meet Nissan Yaron and discover how a film-school student with an idea for a new type of keyboard for smartphones ended up creating INPRIS -- Innovative Products in Israel -- and has invented a new technology that Samsung, IBM and Google are already talking about: Ergonimic Motion Detection.
Then, Gavin Goodvach, director of content at AnyClip, tells Eitan the story of how JVP founder Erel Margalit sat down at a restaurant with Mickey Shuloff, the head of Sony USA, and came up with an idea that would allow people to send each other scenes from their favorite movies. That idea became AnyClip, which streams more than 3 billion minutes of video per month, and is one of the top five video content providers in the US, along with Google and Facebook.
