Nuclear Pontificating and a ‘Reform’ Response(25:06)
|
VOI's Gil Hoffman explains the unity of Israeli politicians regarding the Iran deal and hears a critique of an Orthodox position on Reform Judaism.
Referring to the unified stance across the political spectrum on a nuclear agreement, Gil says that on this issue there is no coalition or opposition. But, he says, party leaders Yair Lapid, Isaac Herzog and Avigdor Lieberman nevertheless bashed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Then, Gil is joined from New York by Rabbi Josh Weinberg, president of the Association of Reform Zionists of America, who criticizes Jerusalem Post ultra-Orthodox columnist Jonathan Rosenblum’s assertion on Sunday’s show that “Reform Jews are Jews, but Reform Judaism is not Judaism.”
