Wrzosinski is a young Pole who heads the Avanim Organization and the Foundation for Documentation of Jewish Cemeteries, which has indexed almost 100,000 tombstone inscriptions of Polish Jews. Usher explains the work of the Shapell Manuscript Foundation that is compiling the first data archive of Jews who fought in the American Civil War. Stanley Diamond is Executive Director of the Jewish Records Indexing-Poland project. Wrzosinski, Usher and Diamond are among the hundreds of Jewish genealogists who spent four days talking family trees and tombstone-tracing at the recent conference in Jerusalem.
