Anita Tucker, who was expelled from her home as part of disengagement 10 years ago, tells Eve Harow about the community spirit that lives on.
Tucker, who grew 3-foot-long celery in her greenhouse in Netzer Hazani until Israel’s unilateral withdrawal from Gaza in 2005, talks about the values and caring of evacuated Gush Katif residents that have not died; nor has their hope to return home. She also reminisces about their Arab friends, who taught them the Jewish connection to Gaza.
