Rabbi Shimshon HaKohen Nadel, author, educator and musician, joins VOI's Yishai Fleisher to discuss the power of the 9th of Av.
While it is the saddest day in the Jewish calendar, marking the destruction of both Holy Temples in Jerusalem, the day of the 9th of Av also symbolizes the greatest hope as the sages write that the day holds Messianic potential. Yishai talks about commemorating this year’s 9th of Av in a mostly rebuilt Jerusalem, and hears from Rabbi Nadel about how one can observe such an auspicious time.
