Author and journalist Orit Arfa joins Josh Hasten to discuss the 10th anniversary of the disengagement from Gaza.
Arfa, who was in Gush Katif during the expulsion — and whose novel The Settler is based on her experiences there — says that until the national-religious camp in Israel becomes less rigid, less religious and more accepting, the phenomenon of Jews being thrown out of their homes for the sake of “peace” could easily repeat itself. During the show, Josh airs a song co-written and sung by Arfa, called “Home (Lives in My Song),” inspired by the Gush Katif community.
