First, they hear from Rabbi Ze’ev Smason, spiritual leader of Nusach Hari B’nai Zion — an Orthodox congregation in St. Louis, Missouri — who imparts some Jewish wisdom about the art of having a happy marriage, and about how the Jewish nation can retain its heritage and pass it on to the next generation.
Then, Ari and Jeremy travel into the heart of Samaria to meet the “Jewish Shepherd,” Avraham Hertzlich, as he guides his flock through the rocky mountains. They sit under the olive trees and discuss the need for the Jewish people to revive their bond with their land. Hertzlich tells the co-hosts of his remarkable journey from the fast-paced life of selling luxury cars in the United States to becoming a shepherd in the ancient hills of biblical Israel.
