First, Goldberg Goldman, a member of the National Jewish Democratic Council, describes her despondent view of the ineffectual United States Congress and the Republicans’ inability to successfully reject the Iran deal. She warns that Israel should not underestimate the strength and depth of support President Obama and his policies enjoy from the American public.
Then, Gil turns his attention further north to Canada, which has been unequivocally critical of the agreement drafted by the P5+1. David Weinberg, director of the Israeli office of Canada’s Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs, says his home country is unwaveringly pro-Israel. He attests to the bipartisan support Israel can expect from both Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the opposition.
